MISSION

Fanaticcon and its Partners and Sponsors are proud again to the support the Vanier Food Bank

Partage Vanier is the Food Bank for the Vanier sector of the city of Ottawa. We assist Vanier residents who need extra help putting food on the table. We help approximately 825 clients on a monthly basis, 30% of whom are children. The mission of Partage Vanier is to collect and distribute food products and other necessities of life to the residents in need. We encourage good nutrition by offering a recipe and sampling service.

Bring some non-perishable food items to the show and Fanaticcon in Ottawa and its partners will make a delivery to them

Partage Vanier is the local food bank located at 161 Marier Avenue. The mission statement is to collect and distribute quality food, life necessities, and resources to individuals and families in need in the Vanier area.

What items the food bank is looking for? The answer is easy; items you like to see in your own household including fresh food and pantry items. But if you're not sure, here a few of our suggestions below!

Special diet foods

Diet-specific food. Vegan and vegetarian options,

low-sugar, gluten-free, dairy-free, culturally appropriate food (e.g. halal, kosher, etc.),

Household and hygiene items

Toilet paper, feminine care, personal protection care, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.

Grains

Cereal, rice, pasta, oats, granola bars, and flour

Proteins

Canned fish and meat, fresh meat and poultry, eggs, beans and legumes, and peanut butter

Fruit and vegetables

Fresh and canned fruits and vegetables, and children's snacks

Pantry staples
